Position Summary:
Our rescue partner is always looking for volunteers. We have partnered with PAWS and PFK to do onsite volunteering at Coastal Cat Cafe. We are looking for energetic cat loving people to provide exceptional cat cafe to our feline residence. All our residents will need to be monitored and findings documented daily - this important protocol ensures the health and well-being of our cats. This position also has the fun responsibility of getting to know all our residents, intimately, in order to help them find their furever home.
 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for keeping cat lounge cleaned

• Cleaning litter boxes, sweeping, mopping and sanitizing cat areas routinely

• Proactively recognize and defuse any negative cat or human behaviors or interactions

• Maintain cats’ supply of food and water

• Documenting cat health and administer meds, if necessary

• Know each residents personality

• Facilitate adoptions

• Socialize with cats & guests

• Handles any other duty that pertain to the cats as assigned by the cat café Manager or Assistant Manager

Requirements

• Past volunteer experience

• Comfortable conducting adoptions and gauging appropriate fit

• Must be comfortable cleaning litter boxes

• Must be 18 years or older

• Must be able to bend, stoop, and complete cleaning tasks

• Must not be allergic to cats

• Dependability with regular hours

Preferred

• Previous experience with cat health and cat care

This volunteer agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into as of the date set forth below by PAWS and/or PFK. WHEREAS, the Volunteer has voluntarily contacted PAWS and/or PFK and has expressed an interest in working with cats in the care and custody of Coastal Cat Café. In consideration of PAWS and/or PFK agreement to allow the volunteer to view and/or interact with such animals, the volunteer hereby, for his/her heirs, his/her personal representatives, and him/herself represent and warrant as follows: 1. The volunteer is fully aware of the risks that animals pose and have elected to view and/or interact with one or more animals in the care of and while working with rescues voluntarily. The volunteer knowingly assumes all risks that exposure to animals may pose, including but not limited to serious bodily injury and/or death. 2. THE VOLUNTEER HEREBY WAIVES, RELEASES DISCHARGES, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISES TO INDEMNIFY AND NOT TO BRING SUIT AGAINST PAWS and/or PFK or Coastal Cat Cafe its owners, volunteers, staff, and all other agents, and attorney for any of the referenced parties and any other parties acting for or on behalf of the referenced partied from an and all rights and claims which the volunteer has or which may hereafter accrue to the volunteer and from any and all damages which may be sustained by the volunteer directly or indirectly in connection with, or arising out of, the volunteer’s exposure to such animals.
